Prof Teoh is the Director and Distinguished Senior Yelu/Changjiang Chair Professor, Center for Advanced Medical Engineering (CAME) at the College of Materials Science and Engineering, Hunan University, People’s Republic of China. He majored in Materials Engineering (B Eng with First Class Honors and PhD at Monash University in 1978 and 1982 respectively). He is a Fellow of the Institution of Engineers, Singapore.
Prof Teoh spent 30 yrs (1982-2012) at the National University of Singapore (NUS) and Co-Chaired the Graduate Program in BioEngineering (GPBE). He also Chaired the school of Chemical and Biomedical Engineering (SCBE) with a joint Professorship at the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine (LKC Med) at Nanyang Technological University (NTU), from 2012-2021. He was awarded the prestigious NTU President’s Chair Award for Educational Leadership and for his outstanding research and entrepreneurship. He is also the Senior Mentor to the clinical scientists at the National Dental Centre of Singapore for the last 10 years.
Prof Teoh is a pioneer in 3D printing for implants. To date, his spin-off company, Osteopore International (IPO Australia ASX), has implanted more than 150,000 scaffolds worldwide. His pioneering work has earned him the prestigious “Golden Innovation Award” from the Far Eastern Economic Review (2004) and the “Notable Engineering Achievement Award” from the Institute of Engineers, Singapore. His team also received the “2018 Patent Excellence Award” from the Intellectual Property Office of Singapore. Currently, he is focusing on biomaterials, piezoelectric bone tissue engineering and regenerative medicine with research ranging from synthetic bones, blood vessels and skin, bioreactors, fish collagen, decellularized organs.
Professor Linda J. Kenney is the President of Mechanobiologics, Inc., Santa Fe, New Mexico, USA. She is also an Adjunct Professor at the National Dental Centre Singapore.
She is a global scientific leader in Microbiology, Biophysics and Mechanobiology with over 150 publications & multiple patents. A proven mentor and leader, she has trained 45+ PhDs and post-doctoral fellows now in global academic, government, and industry leadership. She was previously the Tom and Kaye Arnold Professor of Gastroenterology at the University of Texas and is an AAAS Fellow and a member of the American Academy of Microbiology.
Clinical Associate Professor Goh Bee Tin is Chief Executive Officer of the National Dental Centre of Singapore (NDCS) and Academic Chair of the SingHealth Duke-NUS Oral Health Academic Clinical Program.
She graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the National University of Singapore (NUS) in 1993 and subsequently specialised in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (OMS), earning a Dental Fellowship from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (1996) and a Master of Dental Surgery from NUS (1997). She became a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore in 2000 and received advanced training in cleft lip and palate, orthognathic surgery, and craniofacial implantology in Canada, Sweden, and the United Kingdom. In 2009, she obtained a PhD from Radboud University Nijmegen for pioneering research on modular endoprostheses for mandibular reconstruction.
Asst Prof Hemant Unadkat is a clinician-scientist at the National Dental Research Institute Singapore, National Dental Centre Singapore, and an Assistant Professor at Duke-NUS Medical School. His research focuses on using artificial intelligence, materiomics and microfabrication to develop bioactive medical devices for oral and craniofacial regeneration. His work integrates high-throughput screening of surface topographies with machine learning to identify instructive biomaterial designs that regulate cellular behaviour. He has led the development and translation of patterned devices for bone regeneration, soft-tissue integration and endodontic applications, progressing several technologies from laboratory discovery to preclinical validation and commercialisation. His broader interests include regenerative biomaterials, implant-tissue interfaces and translational frameworks that improve the clinical readiness of emerging biomedical technologies.
Dr Zayim Razina received her PhD in Bioengineering from the Nanyang Technological University. She subsequently joined the National Dental Centre Singapore as a Postdoctoral Fellow, where she advanced the development of minimally invasive microneedle technology for dental anaesthesia. Dr Zayim Razina’s research focuses on the development of polymer-based microneedle technologies and advanced drug delivery systems for dental and oral applications. Her work integrates biomaterials engineering, microfabrication and translational research to develop minimally invasive medical devices that enhance therapeutic delivery, improve patient experience, and address unmet clinical needs. She is particularly interested in translating innovative biomedical technologies from bench to bedside to achieve meaningful impact in patient care. She has authored several publications in internationally recognised peer-reviewed journals and has received several awards and accolades in recognition of her work.
Dr. Lim Yujing is the Chief Executive Officer & Chief Technology Officer at Osteopore, a global medical device company that adopted 3D printing technology to manufacture bioresorbable scaffolds for bone regeneration. Osteopore has ~20 years and more than 140,000 successful examples of clinical history in bone regeneration, starting with the craniofacial region before expanding to dental / oralmaxillofacial, reconstructive rhinoplasty, and orthopaedic surgery.
Dr. Lim has spent more than a decade in Osteopore, observing growth from a 2-man team to an organisation with offices in Singapore, Australia, and South Korea. He guided the company through successful regulatory and quality milestones such as ISO 13485, Korea GMP audits and FDA inspections; CE Marking.
His unique academic background as a mechanical engineer (Masters) and biomedical engineer (PhD) provides him with a strong foundation to innovate and cocreate with clinicians, and drive impact in the medical device industry.
A/Prof Juha Song is an Associate Professor in the School of Chemistry, Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology at Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore. Her research develops multi-material additive and digital manufacturing platforms for functional biomedical devices, with a focus on how interfacial design and material properties can be engineered into next-generation dental prostheses and beyond. Her group combines structural and interfacial design, materials characterization, and advanced fabrication—spanning digitally manufactured dental prostheses, microneedle-based devices, and structurally engineered biomaterials—to create devices that are personalized, functionally integrated, and manufacturable at scale.
Professor Yeong is a Professor at the School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.
Professor Yeong’s research work focuses on 3D bioprinting, as well as 3D printing of functional materials. She has been recognized with multiple awards including Top 50 Asia Women Tech Leaders 2024, NRF Investigatorship Class of 2022, Singapore 100 Women in Tech (SG100WIT) 2021 and the Inaugural TCT Woman in 3D Printing Award 2019.
She is listed in the Top 2% most cited scientists ( Stanford University study) since 2021, and named Clarivate Highly Cited Researcher for 2022 & 2024. She is being ranked as #1 in 3D printing (highly ranked scholar – prior 5 years) by ScholarGPS in 2025.
Prof Yeong is the founding editor of International Journal of AI for Materials and Design, and the associate editor for journals International Journal of Bioprinting, and Virtual & Physical Prototyping. She is the current treasurer of Tissue Engineering & Regenerative Medicine International Society – Asia Pacific Chapter (TERMIS-AP).
